First department store in Vyatka

The development of trade has led to the town-planning transformation. New type of trading houses that are different from the old patriarchal arcades appeared, which were department stores.



The first department store in Vyatka was built in 1909 - 1911 years for the merchant  P.P. Klobukov. The author of the project was the famous architect I.A. Charushin.
The house is built in the spirit of romantic modernism and reflects a complex and contradictory  start of the XX century.

Now  a regional college of music art named after I.V.Kazenin is located here.
